Levitra (Vardenafil) is a phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor (PDE-5 inhibitor),
used to treat male impotence or erectile dysfunction problems. Vardenafil works in combination with sexual stimulation, by enhancing the effect of
nitric oxide, a chemical normally released during stimulation. Nitric oxide causes relaxation of the muscles in the penis, allowing better blood flow to
the penile area which helps a man to achieve and maintain an erection.
Brand names include: Levitra, Nuviva, Vardenafilo, Veradanafil and Vivanza.
