Strong Pain Killers : Opioid Analgesics : Corticosteroids

Dexamethasone: is a corticosteroid acting as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant, used
to treat the pain caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. It also treats other conditions including
the pain following major dental surgery and to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Deltasone: is another corticosteroid acting as an anti-inflammatory drug and immunosuppressant used
as a pain killer to treat various conditions, such as asthma, cluster headaches, arthritis, ulcerative colitis.
Demerol or Meperidine : is an opioid analgesic also known as a narcotic analgesic, which relieves
moderate to severe pain by acting on the central nervous system.

Divalproex : Valproic Acid: is used in both pain management to prevent the pain from migraine
headaches and also an anticonvulsant to treat epileptic seizures and convulsions.

Diclofenac: is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used as a pain killer to treat arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, back pain, gout, post traumatic pain and acute migraine.

Dolofrix Forte, Dolviran and Gelonida: are all combinations of codeine and paracetamol or aspirin.
Paracetamol helps to relieve pain and codeine is an opioid analgesic also known as a narcotic analgesic,
which is a type of pain killer that blocks the sensation of pain by acting on the central nervous system.

Esgic Plus and Fioricet: are combination pain killers consisting of butalbital, acetaminophen and
caffeine, (also sometimes codeine). These are pain killers used to treat tension headaches and muscle
contraction headaches, also migraines and other similar pain related conditions.
Butalbital is a barbiturate which depresses the central nervous system (CNS depressant).

Feldene: a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) pain killer, used to relieve the symptoms of

Cyclobenzaprine: is a skeletal muscle relaxant and central nervous system (CNS) depressant used to
