Carisoprodol is a skeletal muscle relaxant, it acts on the central nervous
system (CNS) by blocking electrical communication among nerves in the brain and spinal cord. Carisoprodol is used to relax muscles and relieve the
stiffness and pain caused by muscle injuries, strains and muscle spasms. Carisoprodol decreases the impulses from the brain and spinal cord to the
muscles and is believed not to have a direct effect on skeletal muscle.
