Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) pain killer.
Naproxen treats pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, (generative joint disease) rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis
(arthritis of the spine). It also treats other acute pain such as bursitis and tendinitis or tendonitis (acute painful shoulder), gouty arthritis, pain caused by injury,
such as bone fractures, menstrual cramps (primary dysmenorrhea).
Roche markets Naproxen as tablets, capsules, suppositories and oral suspension under the names of Anaprox, Antalgin and Naprosyn (according to the country).

Precautions Before Taking Naproxen Long term, continuous use of naproxen can increase the risk of heart attacks and can increase
the risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation. Some medications may interact with naproxen, additional monitoring of the dose or condition
may be needed if you are taking lithium, water pills (diuretics such as furosemide) high blood
pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors such as captopril and lisinopril), "blood thinners" such as
Coumadin (warfarin) other NSAIDs such as aspirin or Voltaren (Diclofenac) or Indomethacin or
